Chart of sampling of potato for analysis on nitrate nitrogen

For the possibility of adjusting nitrogen nutrition for potatoes during the season, it is necessary to conduct soil and potato cuttings analysis on the level of nitrate nitrogen content during the following stages:
1. Vegetative – describes the development of the plant from planting to the beginning of the formation of tubers
2. Bulb formation – formation of tubers on the tips of modified shoots (stolons). At the end of this stage, the plant may have several open flowers
3. Growth of tubers – linear growth of tubers
4. ripening – from the onset of the dying of the peduncle to its complete drying and physiological maturation of the tubers. The leaves are yellow, the stalk dries
– For analysis on nitrate nitrogen use peas potatoes;
The petiole is a part of the plant that connects the plate with the stalk;
– To select, use the 4th or 5th leaf on the top of the plant in case of rapid growth of the plant;
– In the case of slow growth, use the 2nd or 3rd sheet;
– Tear the leaves from the petioles and place the petioles in paper envelopes;
– Collect 25-30 petioles in a selective order on the already mentioned area;
– Get samples as fast as possible in the laboratory.
